5Solas Tallow Co. exists because of faith first, and everything else second. Every jar we make is meant to reflect something bigger than skincare — honesty, simplicity, and a belief that good work is worth doing well because it's not just for us.
We named this company after a set of truths we didn't want to compromise on. That conviction shapes every decision we make, from what goes into our balms to how we run this business.
HOW IT STARTED
It didn't start as a business. Tish started making this tallow balm for herself — tired of skincare labels full of ingredients she couldn't pronounce, and looking for something that actually worked without the synthetic junk. She used it, loved it, and kept making more.
Family and friends noticed the difference. They asked for jars of their own. What began as something made in a home kitchen for personal use slowly became 5Solas Tallow Co. — but the standard never changed: clean ingredients, nothing fake, made the way she'd want it made for her own family, because that's exactly what it is.
A Family Business, Start to Finish
5Solas Tallow Co. is family owned and family run. (It started at our own kitchen table / in our own home), and it's stayed that way — no outside investors, no corporate playbook. Just a family who believes in what we're making.
